As President of the Vanderbilt Marketing Association, I’d like to welcome you to our site on behalf of the 2014-2015 Board and all of our members. VMA positions its 80+ members for success in recruiting for summer and full-time marketing positions. We expose students to the available marketing-related opportunities and help them build the skills necessary to excel as marketers, both at Owen and in their future ventures.

President Devin Kunysz Class of 2015

The mission of the Vanderbilt Marketing Association (VMA) is to further develop the marketing skills of all our members by extending learning outside the classroom. Through collaboration with faculty, alumni and marketing peers, we strive to build the tools that are vital to securing a top-notch job or internship.

Our programming includes career development sessions such as a Marketing Careers Symposium, National Career Fair prep sessions and a variety of speakers and company events. Additionally, the VMA’s signature school-wide event is Marketing Madness, a product positioning and branding competition at Owen, which takes place each fall.

VMA members and alumni are active in marketing careers within Consumer Packaged Goods, Healthcare, Technology and much more.

The 2014-2015 Club Vision

Career Development: To provide the Owen community with a clear picture of what a marketing career is, and how to attain one.

Membership: Help our members get a job with outstanding career programming, and ensure they have fun doing it with social events and networking sessions.

Alumni: For the next school year, we aim to continue to bring our outstanding marketing alumni to campus. In particular, we are focusing on strengthening our relationship with local Nashville Alumni and adding alumni engagement through the formation of an Alumni Advisory Board featuring past leaders.

Community: To build relationships within Nashville and the surrounding areas to build company interactions and provide VMA Members with opportunities for real-world marketing training.

Take the Leap: Our board has been challenged to take the next step for VMA as a club. It is our goal to leave a lasting legacy for VMA beyond our time here.
