The Operations Management Club is one of the oldest and most active clubs at Owen. It was started with one goal – provide every student at the Owen Graduate School of Management, with an interest in operations, unparalleled access to educational resources and tools needed to be successful in an operations related career. We constantly strive to excel in achieving this goal by bridging the gap between classroom and corporate world and by providing an open platform for members of the group to connect with and learn from their peers, Owen alumni and other business leaders at various companies. The club accomplishes this with its strong professional network, career focus, and educational commitment.
Our mission is to assist in developing our members into better leaders through traditional educational programming along with networking events. We are empowered by our foundational strength – the Owen community. We actively encourage cross-class and cross-club collaboration to leverage our combined knowledge. We aim to provide first hand industry experience to our members through company tours, case competitions, and lunch and learn sessions.
We recognize in our top priorities individualized career search assistance. Our active Career Management Center works closely with our team to assist our membership in finding opportunities that fit them and helping in preparation. Our success can be measured in the best in class employers that recruit for operations candidates through Owen: Amazon, AT&T, DaVita, Deloitte, Eaton, Johnson & Johnson, Nissan and many others.
