Consulting Trek: This trip, started several years ago, has become an annual event for the Owen Consulting Club. Typically between the first and second Mod, a group of members travel to Atlanta to meet with consulting firms in the area. The firms visited vary from year to year, but have included Deloitte, KPMG, Capgemini, Bain & Company, and The Boston Consulting Group. This is a great opportunity to establish relationships with members of these organizations and get a feel for their distinct cultures and programs. (October 13, 2017)

OSCC Symposium: Held early in the academic year, this event seeks to educate first-year students on all aspects of life as a consultant. The club brings in panelists from consulting firms with a variety of models and specialties, and students interact with these professionals in large-group and breakout sessions. (September 8, 2017)

Case Interview Speakers: During Mods I and II, we work with the Career Management Center to host case interview experts David Orvhall and Marc Cosentino. In these two workshops, David and Marc provide strategies, frameworks, and structured preparation in advance of consulting case interviews. (August and September 2017)

Case Prep Workshops: The case interview is a challenging process. Once exclusive to consulting, this format is gaining popularity in many other fields as well. Success in case interviews comes down to two things: familiarity and practice. The OSCC has paired up with the other professional clubs to provide a series of workshops in the fall to prepare students for case interviews. Each workshop will have a slightly different focus, and OSCC members are invited to all sessions as an opportunity to continue to practice and develop their skills in this area. (August-November 2017)
