WELCOME FROM THE PRESIDENT
On behalf of the 2014-2015 Owen Tech Club (OTC) Board and all of our members, I’d like to welcome you to our site. The OTC is the newest and fastest growing professional club on campus. The OTC seeks to ensure every student at the Owen Graduate School of Management, with an interest in technology, is equipped to pursue opportunities in the field. We introduce students to a broad array of companies from the biggest names in tech to the newest start up at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center. In the end, the OTC works to help our members build the skills and connections needed to secure an outstanding job or internship in technology.
President Ryan Shepherd Class of 2015
The Owen Tech Club was established as a direct result of growing interest in technology companies within the Owen student body. To channel this groundswell of organic interest, a handful of students, Gaby Rios Plaza, Alpesh Chaudhari, and Arun Devulapalli, from class of 2014, took the first steps in creating the OTC. The club they helped found seeks to build interest in technology among Owen students while fostering deeper connections to the technology industry. To that end the club hosts numerous guest speakers and trainings throughout the year. The OTC organizes Tech Fest @Owen and plays a critical role in planning the annual Tech Trek. If you are interested in a career in tech, or just want to see how technology is reshaping business, come check out the Owen Tech Club.

The 2014-2015 Club Vision
Career Development: The OTC seeks to provide the Owen community with a clear understanding of what MBA career opportunities are available in the tech sector, and how make one yours.
Membership: The OTC is a cross functional club catering to students in all concentrations. The Owen Tech Club exists to serve its members. You are the reason we founded this club and we will provide you with smart, engaging, fun programming throughout the year.
Alumni: Alumni support for the OTC to date has been tremendous. Our alumni have supported us by returning to campus for events and speaking engagements. They have even met us on the road in Seattle and San Francisco for cocktail hours and networking. For the next school year, we aim to continue to develop relationships with our alumni in technology and to bring even more back to campus.
Community: One of best ways to break into technology is through in school work studies. This requires strong connections with the local businesses and entrepreneurs. The OTC will look to grow our connections in Nashville and to uncover more opportunities for our members.
Building for the Future: The OTC is a new club just coming into its own. With that in mind the club’s leadership actively encourages and seeks out feedback. We want to organize the activities and events which matter most to our members. We are always seeking new ways to build skills and to make great connections. Don’t be shy.
