WELCOME FROM THE PRESIDENT
As President of the Vanderbilt Business Healthcare Association, I have the honor of serving more than 70 driven Owen students who are all passionate about and dedicated to the mission of healthcare. I hope you will take a few minutes to explore our site and learn about some of the exciting professional development, educational and networking opportunities we provide for healthcare students at Owen. The Vanderbilt Business Healthcare Association also serves to provide year-round resources and events focused on learning and growth for all students interested in a career in healthcare, regardless of their prior health care background and knowledge.
Matt Sternberg, MBA 2018, President
The Vanderbilt Health Care Club prepares its members for their careers as emerging health care leaders, by fostering a better understanding of the health care industry through educational and networking opportunities. The Vanderbilt Business Healthcare Association also serves as a liaison between the student body, faculty, and administration in the development and implementation of the Health Care MBA program.
How do we accomplish this?
- Educate our members on the current issues facing the healthcare industry
- Provide mentorship to those seeking employment in the healthcare industry
- Introduce our members to the many avenues available in the healthcare industry
- Provide a professional and social means to network with alumni and area executives
The Vanderbilt Business Healthcare Association is led by first-year and second-year students and advised by Burch Wood, Director of Healthcare Programs, and Larry Van Horn, Executive Director of Health Affairs, Director of the Center for Healthcare Market Innovation, and Associate Professor of Management (Economics).
