Private Equity
is one of the least accessible yet most transformative sectors for wealth creation. The Practicum in Private Equity (PIPE) course training brings faculty together to learn about successful course designs at Harvard, Morehouse College, and Vanderbilt that expose students to hands-on impact investing. The 3-day in-person event, held at Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management, is designed to prepare faculty to launch a proven course that strengthens experiential learning, activates alumni, investors, community partners, and industry partners as institutional collaborators, and supports wealth-building. Students apply valuation, due diligence, and deal structuring to real investments that support community-based businesses.

Sponsored by The Integrum Charitable Foundation in partnership with NxGen COACH Network, PIPE positions faculty and institutions to advance career-aligned academic innovation by preparing students through hands-on, real-world private equity and impact investing.

Led by Archie Jones, Senior Lecturer at Harvard Business School, founder of NxGen COACH Network, and Morehouse College alum, the cohort engages directly with investors, business owners, and Vanderbilt host Professor M. Eric Johnson as part of the program’s applied learning model.
